Thanks to ravenscans, reltilie / Ixion XVII and Wurstkrieger. All the posts I have previously seen involve steam freezing, or the launcher crashing, or some other symptom to deal with, but I'm not experiencing any of that. Thanks to duncanlarsen1, urst, reltilie / Ixion XVII and gavrant! Done by extracting them from the launcher. Create icons for it - without those, WB crashes on launch.
This will get WB to recognize Enderal as a game it can manage.

I've tried to disable all mods and it still crashed. I haven't installed any additional mods between the last time I've played and now. We recommend to not install patches from other sources, they could mess up Enderal. Patches for Enderal will be only available through Steam. Applications/ZeniMax Online/The Elder Scrolls Online EU/gamemac/gamemac. Try one at a time: Remove gamemac.version. There are two files you could try moving out and see if they make it reform the files and get it working.

I also tried to do the solution you posted where you move files out of the overwrite tab at the bottom of MO2's left panel, and it didn't make a difference, it kept crashing the same as before.A patch is a piece of software designed to update a computer program or its supporting data, to fix or improve it. Both mod setups are completely stable as well, they've been tested for hundreds of hours on each. I've also tried it with an entirely separate set up installed on a separate drive that has a high number of mods as well, and the crash replicates at 2% again. I've got 255 plugins, and maybe 270 odd mods installed on the profile that crashes. I tested it on an MO2 profile without any mods, and there was no crash, the program ran successfully and everything. Click the Game Consultant button beneath the tool description.
